This is how we can Jailbreak 3gs 4.3.1 by using Redsnow by DevTeam.
1. First update iphone 3gs to
4.3.1 using itunes.
wait for update to finish then proceed to next step using
redsnow 0.9 6rc12 for Jailbreak.
2. Open redsnow choose iphone 3gs firmware 4.3.1 and wait for it to identify the firmware.
3. After IPSW successfully identified clik next check the box next to install cydia and if you are a unlocker you can check install Ipad baseband.
4. Next follow the onscreen instruction on how to put the Iphone on DFU mode then wait for Redsnow to finish his Job to Jailbreak your Iphone. You will see lines on your screen to see that Jailbreak is taking place (If your a unlocker wait for it to Fetch baseband).
After following all the steps turn on your phone and you will see cydia Icon meaning you have successfully jailbroken your iphone 3gs 4.3.1 also you can see that baseband is updated to 6.15 meaning you can unlock it if your a unlocker using ultrasn0w.
